How could anyone take them seriously after reading one of their comment sections?
Frank makes them look smart and manly.
When there IS a comment section.
The largest con blogs offer no way to comment, or censor and delete liberal posts.
I don’t make a habit of regularly reading right-wing blogs, but from what I’ve seen, they all repeat the same talking points, they rarely argue with each other about issues of substance, they tend to say outrageous things that the “average” American would probably not agree with (about war and torture, specifically) and there’s little actual “debate” amongst them or among their commentators. So, since they offer no new ideas but only parrot the ideas of more well-known pundits, why should Republicans pay attention to them? They’ve got nothing to offer.
