McCain never had the chance in the Senate and Romney did not put in the effort as Governor of Massachusetts. Giuliani may be Italian Catholic from New York, but he can reach common Bubba ground with South Carolina Republicans due to his exceptional performance in smashing black New Yorkers in the face again and again with police violence. All he has to do is pass around quotes that Al Sharpton has uttered regarding St. Rudy and the South Carolina GOP will get past his abortion votes. He won't call it "smashing black people in the face (and up the rectum)"; he will call it a relentless anti-crime strategy that some big-mouth Democrats and civil liberties freaks failed to love.
