Goodbye Rudy?

Red State says that Giuliani’s campaign is over because of his mainstream position on abortion, then again the piece is written by Ben Domenech so it’s possible it’s been written somewhere else before.

    Fred vs. Newt?

Quite possibly. He’s keeping his head down until September, apparently. I don’t know what difference his (relatively) late entry into the race would make though, if any.

I said it before :: “election fatigue”. If people stop caring about this race, and you’re a candidate whose victory relies on a big turn out, then you’re in big trouble.

    Oh please please please!

As if anyone would listen to a known liar like the virgin ben. O wait we’re talking about rethugs.

Rudy has figured out that the flip flopping was only hurting him. Stick to a position take a principled (Sic) stand and hope to pull Moderates to the polls during the primaries. Sounds like the possibility of a winning strategy to me.

Here’s a feature about Giuliani and how his choices have impacted the Republican party:

klyde – while I agree with your sentiment, you should be aware that the apellation “The Virgin Ben” refers to Townhall columnist Ben Shapiro, and was first coined by the devilishly snarkiliious TBOGG.

  7. Rudy Giuliani has one advantage over both Romney and McCain: a history of inflicting hellacious street violence on black people under color of law. McCain never had the chance in the Senate and Romney did not put in the effort as Governor of Massachusetts. Giuliani may be Italian Catholic from New York, but he can reach common Bubba ground with South Carolina Republicans due to his exceptional performance in smashing black New Yorkers in the face again and again with police violence.

All he has to do is pass around quotes that Al Sharpton has uttered regarding St. Rudy and the South Carolina GOP will get past his abortion votes. He won’t call it “smashing black people in the face (and up the rectum)”; he will call it a relentless anti-crime strategy that some big-mouth Democrats and civil liberties freaks failed to love.

This sounds like snark but it’s not.

No, you’re right. Giuliani is a bully and that will help him win over a lot of people are call themselves social conservatives but are in fact just bigots.
