Why Are Conservatives Such Scaredy Cats?

I am well aware that the terroristic threat exists, I know they’re out there and they want to kill innocent civilians. But damn, I don’t think every random murder or crime is an Al Qaeda operation.
Time and time again I’ve seen this, where con bloggers quickly jump on their keyboards as if it was 9/11 all over again. Take the backpack explosion in Las Vegas. The deranged Pamela Geller of Atlas Shrugged: “The future is here and it ain’t pretty”. Kathryn Jean Lopez of National Review: “This Makes Me Very Nervous”. Queen con bee Michelle Malkin was in full “Breaking” mode, detailing terror threats vs. Vegas. Debbie Schlussel thought that the Virginia Tech shooter was a jihadist “paki”.
That side is supposed to be the “tough” side, but the slightest hint of violence in the world and they erupt into OMG TEH TERRISTS IS ATTACKIN’!!!!!
Get a grip, you pansies.

As opposed to the “right wing terrorists” that were popping up all over creation, what, a week ago?
I feel like LOL’ing out loud.
From Dick Cheney down to John Derbyshire, the right wing in this country is filled with bedwetting Milhouses
Hear that, guys? Colorado Dave is call the whole Right Wing out in the cyber – alley!
I’ll tell you what, Davey… Go take on a few MilBloggers, and get back to me…
The right uses scare tactics. For example, the religious right uses the fear of hell; Bushco uses the fear of Saddam and mushroom clouds; Rush uses the fear of a liberal America; Coulter uses the fear of her face….it all pours at you from the right.
The only thing I fear is whichever irrational action the right will ignite in response to these fears.
If bedwetting were an Olympic event…
It’s a funky stew of fear and lust. The fear (they hope to spread) and profit from is a by-product of the lust, that’s right, lust for a new attack that they can use to justify their batshit policy stances.
It’s a loop–feeding on itself, but makes them look stupider and stupider every time they over-sell case, after case after case. (Ismail Ax, Debbie Schlussel’s Cherry Bomb Ay-rabs, Malkin’s endless shrieks of “OmiGod, Arabs did it–oh wait…maybe not”)
But hey, in dealing with potential terror, we don’t want the “smoking gun” to be a $7,500 pair of Ferragamo boots, do we?
The terroristic threat is as much danger to you as the meteoric threat.
condipundit: So it turns out you’re a troll, an ignoramus and a racist! The name links to here {too late to change it now, Pig!}
Welcome aboard. The liberals can alway use a few more like you…
That just kills me, the republican’ts are supposed to be tough guys, but they’re really of bunch of cowards.
Right, dr pee?
When I heard the story, I thought ‘mob hit’. It is Vegas, right?
Frank is right. Just last week Oliver, you and others were squealing about “right wing terror alerts.” A few hillbillies with guns in Alabama were just “the tip of the iceberg” (the words of some loon).
Glass houses and stones. You’ve heard about it.
Yeah, but I don’t think Oliver’s advocated a massive invasion and occupation of Alabama.
I don’t know, michael… turning Alabama into a giant internment camp for redneck jackholes is a tempting thought…
I always thought Sherman was far to gentle during his March. If he had been a little more ruthless perhaps we wouldn’t have these right-wing nuts to deal with today.
Really, because it’s one thing to freak over an exploding backpack and another to be concerned about the FBI arresting a gang of well-armed nutjobs.
It’s alarming: they talk all tough: ‘Marines don’t cut and run’, etc…but then somebody shows up with an accent and a gun-
The problem with this paradigm, however, is that when WE take over, we’ll be forced to be ‘brutal’ in response to any perceived threat, lest we be seen as ‘them weak libruls’
Last time I checked, the exploding backpack actually killed somebody. The Billy Joe Bobo and the rest of the hillbilly brigade didn’t.
And that is a good thing, Jay. Just sayin’.
“Last time I checked, the exploding backpack actually killed somebody. The Billy Joe Bobo and the rest of the hillbilly brigade didn’t.”
I’m not sure if I can make this clear enough for you to understand.
Someone being killed by a backback bomb is bad and people saying, “What the hell is the world coming to?” is a normal response.
Someone being killed by a backback bomb causing half the right-wing blogs to say, “AAAAHHHHH! Arabs!” is not normal.
That’s what we are saying.
