Scully and Mulder would come across something unexplainable, then come up with the most bat-shit crazy insane hypothesis and spend the rest of the hour turning out to be right the first time. Lately it's been nothing but leads and extras. Soap opera has come to the foreground and mythology has receded. If I want soaps, there are better places to find them. I loved the first two seasons but the last season has been mediocre at best. The fact that the characters never ask one freaking question makes it impossible to relate with anyone on the show.
