Kryptonite doesn’t kill Superman, Oliver.
See, there you go again. Because it is material from Supe’s home planet, it makes him “non – super”.

Maybe over the years they juiced up the stories by making kryptonite lethal, but as late as the aerly 60’s, it couldn’t kill him.

What always got me when I was a kid was when they would say, “Superman couldn’t see it because it was lined with lead”, as if being unable to see through lead, meant you couldn’t see lead.

What we believed when we were kids!

Just like the white stuff in chicken shit, it’s all chicken shit to the Reds and their fellow travelers, the Pinks. I am so glad that Red is no longer the political color of my world view of choice. The poor “think they are conservatives” are the New Bolsheviks, the Reds if you will. They chose it for themselves. It must have been the kryptonite.
