Unfortunately, this type of debate only generates sound bites, thus they are all compelled to waste time injecting the President into their one minute non-answers to see who can show up on the news. Like I said- it would be the same with Republicans in the same type of format, thus a debate like this is all about style than substance at this early point in the race. My expectation was that Obama would put in a decent but non-spectacular performance. Mission accomplished.
