John Edwards Blasts The Very Stupid Rudy Giuliani

John Edwards responds to Rudy Giuliani’s venom filled and fact-free claim that Democrats would cause another 9/11:

“Rudy Giuliani’s suggestion that there is some superior ‘Republican’ way to fight terrorism is both divisive and plain wrong. He knows better. That’s not the kind of leadership he offered in the days immediately after 9/11, and it’s not the kind of leadership any American should be offering now.

“As far as the facts are concerned, the current Republican administration led us into a war in Iraq that has made us less safe and undermined the fight against al Qaeda. If that’s the ‘Republican’ way to fight terror, Giuliani should know that the American people are looking for a better plan. That’s just one more reason why this election is so important; we need to elect a Democratic president who will end the disastrous diversion of the war in Iraq.”

lets see, did John blurt that out while his $400 barber was getting ready to trim his eyebrows?

If you were not so taken in by the Right Wing nuts obsession with trivialities like a haircut, you might notice that Edwards is the only Candidate that has a plan for all the major problems wreaking havoc on our country and our world.

Rudy “Patriot Act” Giuliani is starting to rise.

uhh.. no, Rudy “Patriot Act” Giuliani is starting to get desperate. D’ja see the results from South Carolina?

He lost in three separate polls, including a Zogby Poll, to John McCain, of all people.

Time to pull out all the stops and start working the wingnut pedals on the mighty Wurlitzer!!

Much as I want him to, I don’t think his campaign will survive the YouTube torpedo launched against him:

Yes, like claiming to be a guy who’s so concerned for the poor, like being a guy who decides to announce his candidacy while being seen shoveling dirt on TV next to poor Black kids, all to show he “cares”…

…While at the exact same time building a private mansion in a township whose staggering size was previously unheard of and while pampering yourself to ridiculous $400 haircuts — that’s right, 400 clams to get your HAIR CUT. By golly you’re right, he’s SUCH the role model for pushing forth answers. I’m loving them already.

“Gee, I want to help the poor, John. What should I do?”

“Why, do what I did. Get rich by being a weasel trial lawyer, make a few million over cases that would morally make other people sick, and then get AWAY from them and live it up like no tomorrow!”

I guess all he needs to do next is buy a fake ranch built by a cult and fill it with $10,000 suits. Then Big Ape will vote for him.

Of course, he didn’t say that. But when did that ever stop a Democrat?

in response to Wellstone: let’s not be hypocrits: ALL the candidates are wealthy and greedy. YOu don’t make it far without moola. Look at Rudy’s record: he wasn’t rich until he exploited 9-11 BIG TIME. He’s a slime bag too. I was disappointed not so much by the haircut (they ALL spend that kinda money on stuff like that), but that it came out of his campaign funds.
