The McCain Saudi Oil Connection

John McCain talks energy independence but you just gotta look a little closer.

What McCain won’t say is that his recently appointed campaign “consigliere” and general co-chairman in charge of fundraising is not only a lobbyist for Saudi Arabia, but has earned millions of dollars setting up meetings between the Bush White House and the Saudi government.

  • LITTLE ROCK, ARK. – President Clinton’s new $165 million library here was funded in part by gifts of $1 million or more each from the Saudi royal family and three Saudi businessmen.

The governments of Dubai, Kuwait, and Qatar and the deputy prime minister of Lebanon all also appear to have donated $1 million or more for the archive and museum that opened last week.

  • Don’t expect to see O-Dub back on this thread, Pedro. As soon as someone points out the falseness or ridiculousness of a given post, that’s pretty much the end of comments on it.

O-Dub’s primary tactic seems to be throwing various turds against the wall and seeing which ones will stick. This one didn’t.
