I was a proud member of the Reagan Revolution, and know a thing or two about presidential campaigns. What is happening now is that the democrat party is siphoning its donors dry and spreading the wealth out. The lefties will spend that money sniping at each other for the next year. By the time there is a candidate, people will have spent their money, and won’t feel like ponying up again (except of course for the rich hollywood limosine liberals…).

In the meantime, the republicans have kept their powder dry and are watching to see who is going to go the distance. Once a candidate is declared, the money spigot will open…

Oh puh-leeze. Defenders of Hillary Clinton like Wilbur here truly crack me. That’s because you’ll continually play the same cards that you just did over and over and over again. You’ll claim not liking Hillary is “childishness”, as if that’s somehow an actual intellectual defense. When that doesn’t work, you’ll cite “sexism” and that people who don’t love her must obviously be “anti-woman”, which would be another laughable assertion. And when all else fails, you’ll fall back on saying it’s a “neurosis” — which frankly doesn’t have ANY basis for support or argument. A neurosis about what? That she wears cotton? Scientifically and logically speaking, what the hell could there even BE a neurosis over?

The problem with Hillary supporters is that they just don’t get it. They literally refuse to see just how many people DON’T like her for all sorts of reasons. I loved how Oliver accused me of being “deranged with Hillary hate.” Really? Gee, I guess that puts me in rather large company since Hillary’s DISAPPROVAL rating nation wide — which as I noted earlier, would be all those states that actually connect New York to California and which actually make up the United States — are actually equal to or higher than her actual approval numbers. So I guess we’re ALL deranged, right? Literally millions upon millions of people have “just got it wrong” when it comes to Hillary, right?

At which point Hillary backers always make the same one-two punch mistake. First, they’ll try to convince you that you’re just not seeing the big picture — you’re just not seeing how wonderful she truly is — yet when you stand your ground and simply say “Well, I don’t agree with Hillary on such-and-such an issue. I don’t think that’s the proper position to take at all”, THEN they get all blustery and red-faced and yell “You just hate women! You just have Clinton neurosis! F*ck you! You’re too stupid to face the truth!”

Riiiiiiiight. Because THAT tactic is sooooo intellectually sound and is really going to convince people to change their opinions about her.

Years and years ago there was a classic Elvis album entitled “50,000,000 fans can’t be wrong.” But to the Hillary lovers, EVERYONE is wrong if you’re not kissing her butt. Sheesh, and to think they call us “Bush bots” for blindly following along. What a total CROCK.

I’m sure there are a lot of people that viscerally despised Bush from the get-go. I think the same’s true for just about any candidate. Many of us, though, myself included, waited until we had some damn good reasons. Nothing childish about that.

Now since you, like me, can’t think of a good reason why people should despise Hillary so much, maybe we can advance some working hypotheses to explain it: childishness? sexism? bone-deep neurosis? Combination of the three?

As to your question, I don’t viscerally hate Sen. Clinton. I know I don’t dislike her nearly half as much as some of the people on this blog hate Pres. Bush.

I know there are people who don’t like Pres. Clinton, and I’m one of them, but he is not the reason I don’t like her.

I don’t like her, because I know what she believes — she was First Lady for eight years! She’s my state senator, and she won with lots of money and name recognition, against a weak candidate.

She had campaign posters with “Hillary!” on them plastered all over the place. She ran on a Party line set up for her, so you could vote for her without voting Democratic.

As for why people supposedly hate her, I have no idea. As for why people hate Pres. Bush, they’re just childish.
