Long time reader and I normally like all your stuff. Seems you&#039;ve made a bit of a disconnect here, though. You can&#039;t argue that &quot;not wanting gun control = wanting murder,&quot; no matter how hard you try. In Jamaica, Scotland, and Ireland, murder rates have increased since firearms restrictions, while they&#039;ve declined in England and Wales. They&#039;ve declined in Canada, but not as dramatically as in the US.

I also used to think that gun control would mean less murder in the US. Of course, this assumes that people can&#039;t gain access to guns illegally, which is clearly nonsense. If guns can sneak into island nations like Britain and Japan, you better believe they could sneak into the US.

And this is coming from a guy who doesn&#039;t support private ownership of firearms.
