No, Oliver, Lurita Doan is what happens when the government is run by total idiots whose only goal in governing is to keep themselves in power and dole out perks and payoffs to their pals.

    a. k. a. Bush Republicans, Wilbur.

And, since the Rovians have purged the party of apostates, there are no other kind of Republicans.

Reminds me of John Stewart’s Daily Show interview with John Bolton when he says that putting someone in charge of something they hate (Bolton and the UN, etc.) is the equivalent of putting Captain Ahab in charge of Save the Whales. Hysterical at the moment yet unfunny in reality.

And yet, amazingly, Bolten managed to be wrong about everything he said.

How do these people not get weeded out by natural selection?

As Nitpicker picked up on, GSA Administrator Lurita Doan got a little freaked out at yesterday’s hearing and told one of her aides to take her glass of water because she didn’t want anyone to lift her fingerprints off of it. We tracked down the video and here it is:

“Take my water and my glasses. I don’t want them to print my fingerprints. They’ve got me totally paranoid.”
