Bush Really Gets Desperate

The Iraq policy is going down in flames so he resorts to… some guy with a website.
The missions I described are only the opening salvos in what is going to be a sustained effort. Yet, the Iraqi people are beginning to say — see positive changes. I want to share with you how two Iraqi bloggers — they have bloggers in Baghdad, just like we’ve got here — (laughter) — “Displaced families are returning home, marketplaces are seeing more activity, stores that were long shuttered are now reopening. We feel safer about moving in the city now. Our people want to see this effort succeed. We hope the governments in Baghdad and America do not lose their resolve.”
Some Guy With A Website, now justifying the Iraqi “surge”.

Oliver, has anyone every calculated how many times the president say he’s “looking forward” to stuff? Seems like every time I see him he throws that in, somewhere. I think it would be a good youtube thingy if I had the mind-bogglingly free time to put it together.
He’s always looking forward to stuff, but he ever gets around to it.
*never*
The cynic in me thinks that these “bloggers” are probably on the U.S. payroll.
Actually, Editor and Publisher is now reporting that the two “Iraqi bloggers” are actually brothers that Bush met in the White House some time ago.
What they wrote was written weeks ago and already reprinted in the WSJ on March 7th.
Great article – check it out – http://www.editorandpublisher.com/eandp/columns/pressingissues_display.jsp?vnu_content_id=1003564636
Pretty well established the brothers are on the US payroll out of CIA’s mansion in Baghdad. They get flown to the US by secretive GOP supporters and one was encouraged to go into politics.
