Peyton Manning Is Doing It For The Kids

From Saturday Night Live, Colts quarterback and Superbowl MVP Peyton Manning takes some time out for the kids, with hilarious results. Manning was one of the funnier hosts they’ve had on in a while, certainly a lot better than some of the actors and comedians (especially losers like Dane Cook).

Reinforces my theory that the best SNL hosts are non-showbiz people. Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Ralph Nader, Al Gore.

  2. SpiderJ says:

Well, except Alec Baldwin. Alec Baldwin on SNL is frakking funny.

  3. Retired Catholic says:

Manning has a film career when he’s done with football. This was hilarious. Set him up with Adam Sandler. Time for a remake of North Dallas Forty.

  4. Michael says:

Joe Montana saying “I’m going to go upstairs and masturbate” must be one of the top SNL moments, ever. So maybe the non-performer theory has a point…

That was HILARIOUS. Oliver, if you don’t mind, can I use that code to embed in my blog? I’ll provide proper linkage back to you of course.

The dorks NBA already had it kicked off Youtube and they don’t allow you to embed.

  6. midderpidge says:

It reminds me of the SNL Tom Hanks skit of outtakes from the movie “Big”.

  7. PD100 says:

    Manning is a natural.

    …The bastard.

  8. Oliver says:

    Go for it Jay.

  9. SpiderJ says:

So he’s good at comedy, too.

How long before the usual columnists start writing articles about how Peyton’s never “won the big one” and had his own HBO Comedy Special?

  10. CC says:

Dane Cook is truly an amazing talent and I laughed harder at his SNL than most!! His opening is always edgy and LOL funny!!

  11. Wilbur says:

Some actors – like Alec Baldwin – take it seriously and do a good job. For the vast majority it’s plug the movie and read the cue cards.

  12. merlallen says:

I thought Peyton Manning was black. As you can see, I stopped watching football around 20 years ago.

  13. Danton says:

Some actors are good hosts; some non-actors are terrible hosts. I thought Buck Henry was a great host back when SNL was daring.

  14. Rewd says:

I am shocked, praise for a Republican on OW’s blog!!!
