		<description>Plummer&#039;s retirement is really about abrogating his current contract, which would free him to start for another team this coming season, presumably Tampa Bay, maybe even Washington. If he doesn&#039;t retire, he gets paid his option money, but won&#039;t get to play in 2007, making it much tougher to land a big money contract anywhere in &#039;08.

Remember, &quot;retirement&quot; in sports merely means, &quot;I&#039;m leaving here to go there.&quot;
