Fox’s conservative anchor, Brit Hume frets that the real problem with the Walter Reed Scandal is that it looks bad for the President, health and welfare of America’s military be damned.

    Deep thoughts by Brit. I don’t mention his last name since there is a real philosopher of his name sake who truly had thoughts, a few centuries ago. I don’t think the two are truly related though.

    I posted this at Huffpo. This issue really burns me.

    The VA military hospital system has been the worst care in the country for decades. This story isn’t news to my family. I never knew my grandfather because a routine surgery for appendicitis killed him. My uncle died because he had a small tumor on his neck and they let it go so long that it spread and killed him. Had he gotten some better care earlier when the tumor was found and they removed it and done simple radiation treatment he’d still be alive today and my grandmother wouldn’t be without a son and husband. Here’s a thought congress and Mr. President. Take a few billion dollars of your fucking war budget and take care of these guys. United States soldiers should get the BEST medical care in the country not the worst. They’ve earned it damn it! Sign me, Pissed off and down 1 uncle and a grandfather.

    Actually it “looks bad” for single-provider government managed health care, which is exactly what the Veterans Administration health system is. And it has been bad for decades, as the previous commenter illustrated.
