A Hit In MD?

One has to wonder if it’s possible that Vladimir Putin’s government is pulling off attempted assassinations in Maryland.

Federal and local law enforcement authorities are investigating a shooting in Prince George’s County that critically injured a prominent intelligence expert who specializes in the former Soviet Union.

Paul Joyal, 53, was shot Thursday, four days after he alleged in a television broadcast that the government of Russian President Vladimir Putin was involved in the fatal poisoning of a former KGB agent in London.

Doubt it. Prince Georges has a high murder rate. Joyal is a long time US citizen and not a Russian or ex Soviet. He’s influential in a few insider circuits here, but not particularly so over there. Makes little sense for Putin to have him killed - in the US.

    Them Rooskies ain’t that stupid.

They still have a lot of institutional intelligence left over the KGB era. There’s hardly any reason for them to engage in this and a world of reasons for them not to.

They’d have a busy couple of decades if they wanted to silence every one of their critics.
