Mitt Romney’s French Problem
Tweet
Romney is smart to run against France, which may be the only opponent weak enough for him to beat. There’s just one problem. In the defining moment of Romney’s political career—the Salt Lake City Olympics—he helped France win more medals than it has anytime in the 80-year history of the Winter Games. Mitt Romney not only didn’t stop the French from going downhill—he let them beat us at it.

Romney wouldn’t beat France in a Presidential election were the whole frigging nation of France a citizen and allowed to run (and boy, would that be weird).
The race is Giuliani and McCain right now. Romney isn’t a factor and will not be. His campaign exists for the Weekly Standard, and nothing else.
I like him a lot. If he’s on the ticket, (prez or vp) I’ll vote republican. He’s got the perfect mix of brains and moderate stances for me. When he comes down on the conservative side on issues – a lot of the time – he’s more persuasive than anyone else. He doesn’t do the GWB thing of disregarding opposing points of view. I think the democrats are scared of him to tell you the truth.

Nope. Bring him on.
Admit it, Jay, you’re voting rethuglican no matter who they put on the ticket. If you can defend a numbskull like Shrub, then you’ve proved you have no discernment.
There’s a reason Romney is being dragged through the mud in the media, and that’s because the media perceive him to be the only conservative on the Republican side that has a chance. If the media truly believed he had no chance they wouldn’t cover him at all, and if he weren’t conservative they’d be treating him like they’re treating Giuliani and McCain. Conservative voters have a year to figure this out, and when they do you’ll see Romney rise in the polls because those voters will realize that if they want to vote conservative without throwing their vote away they only have one choice.
All of the mud is coming from Republican’ts, not the media. Do you need a lobotomy to be a wingnut?
