I hope Norv does well... sort of. I mean, Shottenheimer and the Chargers deserved the win (damn Brady and his awesomeness), but if Norv waltzes in and takes it, it'll feel undeserved. Plus... his name is Norv... c'mon.

Wasn't Norv such a screwup in Washington that they had to bring in Schottenheimer to rebuild?

I don't feel the least bit sorry for the Chargers. They showed that they are as stupid as sports writers.

They had a pretty good head coach and they fired him because of personality problems that should have been solved in the fourth grade.

Marty is not a perfect head coach, but the loss to the Pats was a close one, not a 'melt down' as Bernie Wilson seems to think. Two plays, Parker's muff and McCree's fumble, were the difference.

But even if you think that Marty is a good coach with a playoff jinx problem, the key fact is that there were no better head coaches available.

That they hired Norv Effing Turner is pretty clear evidence of that. I don't have the hate on for Turner like our good friend OW, but Turner has had two cracks at head coach and has not done well.

I'm not sad he's passing through Dallas on I-20. But I feel sorry for the Chargers.
