Studio 60: Likely Dead

Some people are still defending Studio 60, but as someone who is an Aaron Sorkin fan and as a lover of good, well written television I’m glad the damn thing is being given the Old Yeller.

What timing. I cancelled the show from my DVR on Monday. You know something’s wrong when the featured players are all more interesting than the leads. You know something is wrong when the show centers around not one, but two romances that give off the same kind of dead chemistry as Tom Cruise and Kelly McGillis in Top Gun. You know something is wrong when an episode is written about a flashback and the world of the past seems much more intriguing than the world of the present. And you definitely know something is wrong when a show has to resort to the plot device of two characters trapped together as early as season one. Could there be a Friends curse as powerful as the Seinfeld curse?
Can someone speak to them about 30 Rock then?
I have to agree. I have been watching it every week, waiting for something to happen. I do think Matt Perry is good in it, but about 20-25 minutes into it, I find myself getting up to do the dishes or something.
It is such a buzzkill after Heroes.
