If I told you a year ago that the phrase “shot an old man in the face” would not only be wildly funny, but would also be as funny a year later, you’d never have believed me. Then if I told you that it was President Cheney who did it, and that he was drunk when it happened, you’d have me locked up for trying to force the funny.

So let’s all stop pretending that right-wingers can’t be funny: A drunken President Cheney shot an old man in the face!

(Oh yeah, and the old man in question *apologized* too. Wacky, wild stuff.)

Mallard Fillmore has no subtlety whatsoever. That’s one of a few factors that turns me off to it. Ditto with “The Leftersons” (why the heck is the Onion running it in their comics section?) As is anything drawn by Chuck Asay.

To be fair, Tom Tomorrow’s been sliding a bit. I mean, it’s dead on with it’s portrayals, but it’s also become quite predictable. But then again, as the political situation in America gets more outrageous, I should expect it.
