Only 2 sitting senators have ever been elected president, Harding and Kennedy. In addition, being mayor of NYC is probably a bigger job then being governor of most states and the majority of our recent presidents have been governors. In any event, no mayor of NYC has ever run for president, until now. I truly hope that Giuliani is underestimated.
