Would she be considered that funny or be getting a tv show if she wasn’t a more attractive than average female comedian? I don’t think so. In fact, I’m pretty sure of it. (And please note: she has man hands)

America needs a comedian who is semi-hot and takes dirty-talk to the next level, yet not arouse any form of imagination from men.
I think a lot of her comedy works because she looks really cute while saying things that are so, so wrong.
But if she didn’t have the cuteness to work off of, I think she could change her style and still be funny.
Huh. We saw her film (”Jesus is Magic”) and her little bit in “The Aristocrats” and thought she was hilarious.
Tastes may vary, though.
I think she’s hilarious — miles ahead of more popular comedians like Dane Cook, for example. Why not give her a show? It’s only on Comedy Central, after all.
I did not like the Aristocrats. So overhyped.
Oh come on O. At the very least give it up for Gilbert Gottfried. That man is a National Treasure.

Silverman isn’t any funnier than any other comedianne. Her schtick is that suck vulgar and “shocking” things comes out of the mouth of such an attractive woman.
She takes it over the top for the sake of it and quickly abandons actually trying to be witty or funy and just outrageous.
It gets old VERY quickly. I still think Ellen Degeneres is still the most genuinely FUNNY woman on the planet. And she doesn’t have to be vulgar in order to do it.
I’m not saying vulgarity offends me, but that IS Silverman’s act. Be vulgar and curse. Isn’t that shocking? Such a pretty woman saying “pussy” and “cum fart” WOW!

I don’t get the Silverman-Kimmel union. Silverman’s smart and funny, Kimmel’s not apparantly smart and has never been funny (OK, “stop the suffrage” bit on Man Show was funny).
I’ve heard that the word in La-La Land is that Ms. Silverman will do anything to get ahead. That would explain it.

I think Kathy Griffin is kinda hot, myself. But I have a thing for redheads. I never thought of Sarah Silverman as particularly attractive, but the only time I’ve seen her was when she was on Celebrity Poker Showdown on Bravo so maybe that wasn’t her best look. Anyway, in a business where John Candy, Chris Farrell and Louie Anderson get to be big stars (not to mention Larry the Cable Guy, Roseanne Barr and Rosie O’Donnell), why is it such a big deal to be a hottie? If we’re going that route, Kendra Wilkinson from Girls Next Door is kinda funny too, and way hotter than Sarah Silverman.
Funniest comedienne I would have to say Rita Rudner. I just like that Stephen Wright/Emo Phillips kind of delivery she has. And Kathy Griffin I find funny as well. Neither is particularly vulgar for shock value.

Artiscrats was terrible. The jokes not funny the first time you hear it, and it certainly isn’t funny the 100th time you hear it. Sarah Silverman’s little aside after she told the joke was the only funny thing in that whole movie.

I did. I knew his humor was dirty because I know about his stand up work. He’s not all family sitcom.
From what I’ve seen of Silverman, she’s got the outrageous vulgarity part down, but has pretty awful comic timing.

The popularity of Dane Cook is mystifying to say the least, but it does prove one thing: any large gathering of Americans these days is incomplete without someone yelling out “woooohooooo!!!” at the oddest moments. Strange days.
For my money Doug Stanhope is easily the most interesting comedian working live (kindly avoid making any judgments based upon his for-the-money-or-the-experience turns on “The Man Show” or “Girls Gone Wild”). His turns of mind & observations are almost unwaveringly right on.

I just watched her tv show and couldn’t believe that she’s actually suppposed to be a comedian. She’s just not funny. It’s a sour attempt at comedy.
Sara silverman is not attractie she has horse teeth and a long horsey face not to mention the fact that she is a sociopath. She does not have the intelligene of a comedienne and she is abusive. She is socially inept and could benefit from court orderedf therapy with an msw to help her withb her awkward social manner.
Did Jimmy Kimmel pay the dirtbags at Maxim to promote his skank homewrecking girlfriend Sara on the cover? She’s only with Jimmy because he’s famous and has a horse cock that can barely fill her stretched out holes! He fucks her ass day and night and sends the videos to adam carolla for stroke material.
