Nobody wants to wear Bush Policies this year. They're so 2005. The only one wearing Bush Policies is John McCain, and I think that's because he's got them tattooed on his body now, poor dear. He had a lock on the '08 nomination and now he'll have to wear Iraq as a hat for the next two years. That may not work out very well for him. Health care and global warming. The Democrats need to stop dicking around on them and get some solid work done now. They don't have to wait for a Democratic president. They can get the numbers to override a veto right now, so they should just go for it. And they need to do some real work on ending our involvement in Iraq, and right quick, too. But those first two I mentioned, there is enough national will and general support that Republicans can safely vote for a universal health care system and for an emissions bill (and raising CAFE standards--you hear me Michigan delegation? We can't afford your special interests anymore) without losing any additional ground in either house.
