More lives are thrown on to George Bush’s legacy.
All 13 people aboard a U.S. military helicopter Saturday were killed when it went down northeast of Baghdad, the U.S. military said.
Later in the day, five U.S. soldiers were killed and three wounded when the Karbala Provincial Joint Coordination Center was attacked by an armed militia group using grenades, small arms and indirect fire, the military said.
The helicopter crash victims were described as passengers and crew members. Their identities were being withheld pending notification of next of kin, the military said in a statement.
These people are dying for no reason. End this war.

Call Pelosi, tell the her to take away all those dangerous aircraft the military is flying around in. Damn republicans, what, do they want someone to get hurt or something…?
DOCTOR PEDRO, MD. New name, same personality.
N G :: same name, no response
Actually, that was a response. “Response” doesn’t imply saying anything useful.
Not that it’s worth saying anything useful about Pedro’s bollocks up there.

You don’t need to tell me twice — I’ve been reading you for a long time.
You have the wit of Bruce Tinsley.
Why, thank you, N G!
BTW, Oliver, what is with the American body count, when the enemy body count is verboten?
Don’t want to hear about the bad guys being killed?
Or just celebrating helicopter accidents?
And you lose the body count argument – never forget.
Hooray for false equivalency!
Oliver, you are right. If Bush hadn’t went forward with the surge, that helicopter wouldn’g have crashed.
It’s all Bush’s fault.
Oliver, you are a genius.

What exactly does “indirect fire” mean?
Semi-blind fire – usually guided by a third party.
You were saying?
