The Missing Black Republicans

A couple of weeks ago Michael Steele was supposed to be coronated as the RNC chairman after having accomplished nothing, but now he’s nowhere to be found. Nowhere.

  1. Randy Brown says:

Steele is hiding out because he now realizes, in the GOP, at the end of the day he’s still a “nigger.”

    Only that and nothing more.

  2. fd10801 says:

Thank you, Mr. Brown, for that clever way of using a word that got Michael Richards in so much trouble.

I, for one, didn’t know he was missing.

  3. JWG says:

He was interviewed on WBAL last week in Maryland. I guess you still believe that if you cover your eyes and can’t see someone, then they can’t see you either? The world does exist outside of Oliver Willis’ bubble. Maybe you should put down your XBox and check it out?

  4. WBAL? The conservative media interviews the conservative candidate in a liberal state. Only conservative assholes (I’m being redundant here) listen to WBAL OW’s right, Steele is MIA. Good riddance too.

  5. Jay says:

Where exactly is Steele supposed to be?

  6. JWG says:

The conservative media interviews the conservative candidate in a liberal state.

The conservative media interview the outgoing Republican governor and lt. governor. Wow. The GOP is really hiding Steele away. You guys nailed it. Good work!

  7. JWG says:

Oops…looks like he spent some time hiding at a community center dedication according to the AP. I guess OW, Randy Brown, and RBG think a new community center is “nowhere,” but I suspect the local residents think better of the place.

  8. Randy Brown says:

Steele became irrelevant the moment the results in his race became official. Hell, the incompetence in his campaign made Kat Townsend’s 2002 run look positively inspired.

And, do ANY of you think the GOP really gave a damn about Steele, Blackwell, and Swann? They all were nominated for the sole purpose of using their race to keep black voters away from Democrats, as well as shaming moderate whites into voting for them. The ploy was a miserable failure. All three were “house Negroes” who didn’t deserve anything.

However…I personally think Steele quietly threw in the towel after seeing what Mehlman & Co. did to Harold Ford (the “Playboy” spot). As I said: at the end of the day, black men are always “niggers” to the GOP.

BTW, I happen to be a black man, and I don’t use the N-word lightly or casually.

  9. JWG says:

What’s this? The “irrelevant” Steele was at the Bush’s Christmas party last week? Randy will no doubt assume he was just there to serve drinks, but the serious among us will notice that he is not “missing” from the GOP.

I happen to be a black man, and I don’t use the N-word lightly or casually.

Well, as long as you’re black then that’s OK. Whatever.

  10. Rheinhard says:

He was interviewed on WBAL last week in Maryland. I guess you still believe that if you cover your eyes and can’t see someone, then they can’t see you either?

Well Jay, then I guess Steele “disappeared” in exactly the same way the Nancy Pelosi did just before the election, right? (in other words, outside of bullshit wingnut talking points, not)

  11. Nimrod Gently says:

Maybe 2007’s the year of the Black Republican instead.

  12. fd10801 says:

Here’s a story of racism that’s so big, I’m surprised Oliver overlooked it:

  13. Randy Brown says:

“Maybe 2007’s the year of the Black Republican instead.”

No, it’s 2008!! Steele is advising Repub presidential candidates to “step outside their comfort zone” and reach out to minorities.

ISN’T THIS EXACTLY WHAT MEHLMAN ET.AL. CLAIMED TO BE DOING **THIS** YEAR??!! And it was a miserable failure, as black voters’ BS detectors went continuously off scale.

Steele said the GOP should communicate “not just with traditional voters, but go outside our comfort zone.” (That’s a quote from the front page of Friday’s Washington Times, folks.)

One, minorities are NOT “traditional voters?” Aren’t ALL elegible Americans traditional voters? Two, according to Steele, the GOP’s “comfort zone” excludes minorities?

Jeezus, Steele’s an even bigger idiot bastard than I thought!!

  14. JWG says:

That’s a quote from the front page of Friday’s Washington Times

Didn’t you claim Steele was “hiding out” in your very first comment? Is this how you define “hiding out”? Your logic is priceless.

  15. doug r says:

Maybe they saw the Democrat label and “lost” his registration?

  16. Randy Brown says:

Well, at the time of my first comment I hadn’t read TWT’s piece. So evidently he may not have been hiding out – just getting (even more) stupid. His remarks confirm that he’s a monumentally DAFN. (Google the acronym if you don’t recognize it.)

  17. fd10801 says:

Randy: There is a reason why you didn’t make yourself clear, isn’t there?

I don’t like cyberspace scavenger hunts

    “Dictionary of American Family Names”?

  18. Nimrod Gently says:

    GOOGLE HAS A LIBERAL BIAS

You can probably figure out what the N stands for, Frank. After that, the rest pretty much writes itself.

  19. JWG says:

Randy has a habit of throwing that word around. But don’t worry folks…it’s OK because he’s black!

I guess Oliver and Nimrod are willing to tolerate racist terms from some people.

  20. fd10801 says:

Thanks for the clue, N G.

    So it’s “Dictionary of American Family {word # 21 of Brown’s first comment }”

When do I get another clue?

Or do I ask a question?

    Can it be done outdoors?

  21. Nimrod Gently says:

JWG, shut up. Frank, seriously, Google.

  22. JWG says:

    JWG, shut up.

I love it. Nimrod tells the person who condemns the use of a racial epitaph to shut up. My point is proven.

  23. fd10801 says:

N G : I looked in about 6 Search Engines, and finally found it in an Urban Dictionary.

    Verrry Niice!

No wonder that guy didn’t want to spell it out.

Interesting that he can comvey the thought without explicitly spelling the word, use it with reference to a black Republican, and not only feel exonerated, but receive no condemnation.

Let me be the first: Mr. Brown, you are no fucking good. You have no right to call Mr. Steele a Dumb Ass Fucking Nigger. I don’t care if you’re a “blue” brother (Google that, and see what it means), you still shouldn’t call him that.

    There, now I feel better.

  24. Randy Brown says:

    Touche’!!

  25. Nimrod Gently says:

No, I tell a moron who only cares about context when it suits him to shut up. Shut up.

I think Randy called him a DAFN in the sense of how he’s regarded by his own party. A drooling imbecile with an axe in his head could tell that that was how he meant the N-Word the first time he said it.

  26. fd10801 says:

Right, N G : It was really the Republicans calling him that…

You must be a DAFWG (the “WG” stands for “white guy” — go Google the rest!)

  27. JWG says:

I think Randy called him a DAFN in the sense of how he’s regarded by his own party.

That’s not what he wrote: “His remarks confirm that he’s a monumentally DAFN.” You’ve both proven you don’t care that the n-word is thrown around in reference to a black man as long as you don’t like that man.

  28. Randy Brown says:

Steele is considered a [n-word] by the GOP leadership. And he’s long, LONG been considered a DAFN by the overwhelming majority of blacks, starting with the Oreo cookie non-incident. Remember that one? Where he and his handlers claimed that Morgan State students pelted Steele with cookies? “Thick in the air like locusts,” they said. That’s a LOT of Oreos. But IT NEVER HAPPENED.
That lie cost Idiot Bastard, big time, and the lies continued apace.

Oh, if only there was enough space to repost the hilarious satire of Steele and the Richard Pryor character Mudbone (originally posted on Steve Gilliard’s News Blog).
A man who plays with puppies ends up wallowing in runny-ass puppy shit!

  29. JWG says:

he’s long, LONG been considered a DAFN by the overwhelming majority of blacks

Thank you for demonstrating that I can read for comprehension while Nimrod needs remediation.

Steele is considered a [n-word] by the GOP leadership.

Yes, I’m sure your warped mind “knows” this to be the case.

originally posted on Steve Gilliard’s News Blog

We’re all well aware of Gilliard’s ability to blackface those he disagrees with. He’s the go-to guy when it comes to using racist imagery.

  30. Randy Brown says:

To read the Steele/Mudbone satire, go to:

    http://stevegilliard.blogspot.com/2006_10_01_stevegilliard_archive.html

Scroll down about halfway, to the post “OMFG” with a pic of Mike Tyson (another DAFN) in a Steele T-shirt. Click on “Comments” (yes, there are comments for the post, even though the counter says zero).
The Mudbone piece is near the bottom.

To fully appreciate the parody one must be familiar with Pryor’s original, which is on his “Is It Something I Said?” album. (An alternate version is in the “Richard Pryor Show” DVD set.) However, the Steele satire should be funny even if you don’t know the Pryor sketch.

And any politician who aligns himself with Tyson is beneath contempt.

  31. Nimrod Gently says:

I’ll tell you what I think of you on Boxing Day, JWG.

  32. Don says:

Been reading these nasty comments describing Lt. Gov. Michael Steele. Sorry to say they show many blacks hold latent inferiority complexes about themselves believing only a white person can be Republican. Obviously they are ignorant to the fact liberal Democrats have used blacks as pawns for years and should answer who are the real Toms.

  33. Zython says:

Sorry to say they show many blacks hold latent inferiority complexes about themselves believing only a white person can be Republican.

There’s no apptitude test to join the Republican party (unless you think filling out a few forms constitues one, which judging by your post, I wouldn’t put past you).

Obviously they are ignorant to the fact liberal Democrats have used blacks as pawns for years and should answer who are the real Toms.

Oh Noes! You’ve discovered our evil plan of not having our party run by racist douchebags! And a little advice. If you want more black people in the Republican party, calling them stupid doesn’t help.

  34. Nimrod Gently says:

JWG, you’re a pathetic waste of skin.

  35. JWG says:

I see you still have no problem criticising the one who condemns the use of the n-word as a way of describing a disliked black man.

But you still can’t bother to see a problem with that word as long as it comes from someone on the Left, can you?

You are a sad but perfect example of hypocrisy. If it makes you feel better to attack the messenger of your moral failings, so be it.

  36. Nimrod Gently says:

You clearly just barely know what you’re talking about.

  37. Randy Brown says:

    ***BREAKING NEWS***
Steele supporter Mike Tyson was arrested in Phoenix AZ, for DUI and felony drug possession:

Sports Illustrated-CNN: Tyson Arrested in Arizona

I’m not going to beat around the bush. Tyson is a DUMB-ASSED FUCKING NIGGER. The same applies to anyone who chooses to associate with him.

If you cannot accept the truth, that’s your problem.
