Frankly, I am glad they aren’t reporting their own poll.
Since we are 2 years from the election and the only viable candidates right now are the ones whose names have been out there the longest, the information isn’t worth a hill of beans. In this case, I would say this is not news because it really is not news…
I think Oliver is talking about being fair. Were the poll showing McCain with a lead, the media would flog it. Heck, let’s make it bipartisan — were the Republican primary poll of McCain versus anyone (except possibly St. Rudy), the media would be on its knees giving McCain service.
Right now, I don’t want to hear about Obama or Clinton having leads, and I don’t want to hear about McCain or Giuliani having leads. (I might make an exception for Romney and Vilsack. If either one of them had a lead, everyone would know the polls are full of it right now.) Right now — all of them. And we have read polls over the past two years showing John McCain’s big manly lead.
Let’s hope they are wrong about Hillary. She needs to not run. She would be a nightmare.
As for Obama. Well, he’s my senator and I voted for him once. I would really like to vote for him for president. He’s cool. He’d be such a great president.

As I read this, there’s an add on TV for American Idol.
Coincidence? I think not.
