I’m (finally) in the playoffs in my fantasy league (my team, the DC Skinz went 8-5), but of course my opponent has Ladanian Tomlinson AND the St. Louis defense, plus my team played like ass yesterday. But there is hope. If Peyton Manning somehow pulls out 34 or more fantasy points on Monday Night Football I will advance to the league championship next week.
Probably not even remotely likely, but still…
UPDATE: Close… but no cigar. Manning had a 29 point night.
I’m with you OW, I need Manning and the Cinci D to score 13 points in a primarily TD league to move on to the Fantasy Bowl. Bombs away!
I’m in the finals barring Manning doesn’t score 40-50 points. Of course I have Reggie Wayne so my opponent doesn’t have a chance.
Oliver,
When are you going to start up a league?
I’m taking the coward’s way out and benching Harrison w/ the win already guaranteed.
A punk move to be sure, but just when you say it’s impossible to lose in a situation like that, Rex Grossman puts up a -10 against Arizona and you are left wondering what the heck just happened?
Never played fantasy ball (but, would in baseball) but, I still wish you luck.
Let us know.
You must have done it with the night Manning had. I had Harrison and he did enough for me to tie my opponent in the consolation bracket. Who needs the winners bracket.
Oliver lost 64-57 (I’m in his league).
Oliver:
Have you read that fanasty football memoir _Committed_?
If not, get it, it’s a great book.
Oliver, it was an honor to crush you. I look forward to crushing you next season as well!
By Grabthar’s Hammer I will be avenged.
