With Hillary soaking up the centrist oxygen, I don't see how any of the other candidates are going to get any traction. I think Bayh got some very good advice and he took it, which speaks well of his sense of realism. I actually respect him a lot more now. Bayh isn't as progressive as I'd like and on certain issues I think he's downright conservative. However, I think he could make a decent President. He certainly has the experience to lead, both two terms of executive experience as Governor of Indiana and two terms as the Hoosier state's junior Senator. Plus, he's certainly electable. I wouldn't be suprised to see Bayh as a running-mate were Edwards or Obama to win the nomination, in order to balance their percieved lack of experience.
