Still A Jerk On The Way Out
Tweet
Bob Ehrlich, Maryland’s outgoing governor (yay!), shows the kind of moxy that got his butt kicked this fall.
Rather than conduct a series of one-on-one interviews, Ehrlich’s press office invited reporters to dine on seafood stew over rice — but only print journalists from newspapers who had endorsed his re-election, which was just about all of them except for The Sun.

Ah, Oliver – I see you’re up to your same “Big bad republicans” blabber as always. Before I allow you to walk the gamut some more, two things should be pointed out:
1) Ehrlich and The Sun have been in disputes for years over a controversy relating to a gag order issued against Michael Olesker – you know, the defamed plagiarist from The Sun? – back in 2004. The resulting case went as far as the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals (those conservative Bastards!!!!!) who sided with Bobby E.
2) With exception of The Sun and the City paper – two very, VERY unbiased Baltimore based papers, I might add – practically every other paper (read: any other paper worth wasting more than three seconds on) endorsed ehrlich.
The two aforementioned points considered, Ehrlich deciding to not invite the sun makes as much sense as someone not opting to pet a rabid dog.
For the future, why not tell both sides of the story? Oh, wait – you’re as fair and balanced as Fox News.

Or as governor, he could have just had a news conference and not a last pettiness incident on his way out. Furthermore, unlike Fox I don’t pretend to not have biases. I am a liberal. I am a Democrat. I’ve never run away from that.
TBC,
That was almost as silly and petulant as something Erhlich himself would’ve penned… is that you Bobby? ROFL
Okay, Kevin – how is it silly that I’d like to make sure that the entire story was told?
Hmm. A liberal leaning person immediately having a knee jerk reaction, I’ve never seen that before. And good use of petulant – where’d you learn to use that, the back of a matchbook?
I usually wouldn’t even respond to someone who would have the audacity to use “ROFL,” but the sheer idiocy of your comment warranted a response just this once. Now be a good little internet geek and get back to reading as opposed to trying to write.
