Pearl Harbor

Just FYI, on the 65th anniversary of Pearl Harbor, I went earlier this year and took some pictures there. I always tend to remember Pearl Harbor Day because of its proximity to my birthday.

that and because it is a date that will live in infamy, no doubt.

Let’s all hope that 9/11 falls close to a whole LOT of other liberals birthdays too, that way THEY might remember it as well

I was stationed aboard a submarine homeported at Pearl Harbor in the eighties. We were in the shipyard for almost 18 months, so I got to know a few shipyard workers. There were actually a couple still there that had been working in the shipyard during the attack. FYI, there were only three ships that were total losses, the Arizone, the Oklahoma, and the Utah (which was a training ship). All of the other ships were eventually repaired and saw action during the war.
