GOP Shucks And Jives For The Rubes, Again

As a last hurrah before their majority evaporates into thin air, the Republuicans plan to push a vote in the House on fetal pain. The bill will not advance anything. There will be no action in the Senate on it. It is solely designed, like the fake war on Christmas, Terri Schiavo, etc. to whip up the rubes who make up the social conservative base of the GOP into yet another frenzy.

Of course, what the Republicans don’t get is that it is activities exactly like this – legislation with sound and fury signifying absolutely nothing – that landed them in the minority.

This is the same crowd who will possibly swoon for the far-right Senator Sam Brownback for President. As someone who desperately wants Democrats to take back the White House I only have one question: Senator Brownback, where do I send the contributions? (ah, right here)

    Did the article mention that Brownback is an adherent of Opus Dei?
