Did anyone see Stephen Hadley on Meet The Press? What. A. Disaster. And Russert didn’t really bring the hurt to him, he simply asked him to reconcile the facts with the administration’s previous statements. It was Katrina all over again: who are you going to believe? Me, or your lying eyes.
The official White House explanation is that this was all just “thinking out loud” and nothing out of the ordinary. To construe it as saying one thing in public and another in private is just wrong!
