Stay Rove, Stay
Tweet
Now that what I’ve been saying about Karl Rove (he’s not that smart, just mostly ruthless and lucky) is now conventional wisdom, I’m sure I’m not the only Democrat who thinks that the architect of failed social security privatization, losing the popular vote in 2000, and the 2006 Republican collapse shouldn’t retire. Hell, promote the bastard!

What the hell is his job title anyway?
It sure feels good to kick Rovesputin while he’s down, after making such stupid pre-election remarks. But keep in mind that Bush legitimately received more than 15% of the national popular vote on Rove’s watch. I don’t know if that’s genius, but it’s damned impressive.
Funny how smart you can look with the kind of massive warchest advantage the GOP enjoyed vs the Dems in 2000, 2002, and 2004.
Now that Dr. Dean and Schumer and Emmanuel have brought near-parity to the money situation, that vaunted “72-hour blitz” no longer scares or intimidates anyone but the MSM’s pundits.
Rove now looks like a backwater Texas school board election dirtbag, which is where he came from and where the 2006 GOP, a white Southern male party, is going to be strong.
I’m with you, Ollie, let’s give this guy unlimited access to the GOP checkbook and let’s let him call all the shots for the GOP.
Please.
I LOVE the fact that Mel Martinez, Mehlman’s replacement, and this guy are on the same wavelength. Love it.
2008, here we come!
I think with the 2008 Election map, the current climate, and if we can just manage to dismantle the crooked GOP voting-machine network, Dems can run the table on the GOP again.
Karl, here. Have a seat right here on the dais as we watch the 2008 Election returns.
Whats funny is how progressives had made Rove out to be this all-controlling evil genius (he had to be in their eyes – how else to explain Bush repeatedly kicking progressive butt) and now that the Rs lose – how stupid and ‘ungenius’ he was all along.
