The Path To 60
Tweet
We have a better than average chance in 2008 of a Democratic Senate wth 60 seats. In addition to, you know, the presidency.
Right now it’s late afternoon in America. Two years from now it could be morning again.

I’m not sure the public is interested in one-party rule. The Democrats will likely make more gains in 2008, but I don’t see the Democrats putting up anyone who can beat John McCain or Rudy Giuliani.
Of course, the Republicans could continue to implode and make a dumb choice for the nomination, but otherwise, expect divided government.
Gridlock is good.
