Bill O’Reilly Litmus Test

5:51 pm EST November 15th, 2006 | Media | 16 Comments

Bill O’Reilly has made a lot of noise and a lot of money about the so-called cultural assault on the American people, where the media pushes a crude agenda on the American people. So, I wonder, will Bill O’Reilly say a word about Fox Television – a sister network in the same corporation he works for – airing a sweeps special glorifying the murder fantasies of O.J. Simpson?

    “Glorifying the murder fantasies”?

This is nothing but a brass-balled fuck-you to the justice system…I’m sickened that this tacit confession masquerading as speculative fiction found an audience…but I’m unsurprised it was picked up by FOX.

  2. Hedley says:

It’s on FOX because the book is published by a division of News Corp.

  3. But…but…according to frameone, since he was acquitted by a jury, O.J.’s a fine fellow, fit to be nominated by the Dems to a leadership position.

  4. Nimrod Gently says:

    Shut up, Tuco.

  5. Witty retort. Keep ‘em comin’.

  6. Duros62 says:

I’m sorry, did anyone in the Dem leadership butcher 2 people?

  7. Duros62 says:

Jeez, Tuco, talk about false equivalency…

  8. Hedley says:

The answer is, yes, he will say something:

“Shamefully, the Fox Broadcasting Unit is set to carry the program, which is simply indefensible, and a low point in American culture.”

  9. BD says:

Is that shortly before O’Reilly claimed that Fox New Channel had nothing to do with Fox Broadcasting Corp.?

  10. Hedley says:

No, it was shortly before he said “Fox Broadcasting has nothing to do with the Fox News Channel.”

  11. Nimrod Gently says:

Given that he said that, how stupid are his viewers? Are they as stupid as he clearly believes them to be?

  12. frameone says:

    “But…but…according to frameone …”

    You’re a total idiot.

…or the Republicans, for that matter.

Oh, wait. You hadn’t heard that all of members of the departing Congress who are headed to prison are Republicans?

    My bad.
