Great news, but I’ll bet there’s going to be a recount. The dems need to descend on Montana and Virginia the way the reps descended on Florida in 2000 and Ohio in 2004. You can bet the reps are already planning some monkey business that needs to be stopped.
A recount may be good news for both races. But I’m still skeptical about the MT race. Webb has a far greater chance of winning a recount.
The margin in Montana is wide enough that, by law, Burns will have to put up bond to cover the cost of the recount. If he loses, he forfeits the cash.
I’m sure the NRCC will front him the dough.
