In what the droll British reporter described as a "warm up act," some preacher got up and quoted Proverbs 29:2 “When the righteous thrive, the people rejoice; when the wicked rule, the people groan.” which really got the crowd into a frenzy as Bush got up and shouted his usual slogans; he's sounding kind of hoarse, and I laughed at his fake Texas accent. Later the reporter asked some of them why they liked Bush so much. He loves Jesus; he's a Christian gentleman; he's "done a fanstastic job running the country." He then asked some of them what they thought would happen if the Dems won control of Congress. In their deep-Georgia accents, the people said "Dies-aster. One word, dies-aster." Another said "'Mur'ka'll go raht down'the tubes." "The most telling one was "yore taxe's'll go up, and we'll lose th' 'Raq wahr." Glad I don't live in Georgia; even Utah isn't that bad. Next to me was group of people are flying home to Montana. I ask if any of them are voting for Tester. Although they are strangers to each other all but 1 says they have already voted for Jon. And none of them have approval ratings in the low 40s either.
