The GOP Goes Sub-Strata
Tweet
The Republicans now appear to be below rock bottom.
Just 20 days until Election Day, the latest NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll finds approval of the GOP-held Congress is at its lowest mark in 14 years, the Republican Party’s favorability rating is at an all-time low and President George W. Bush’s approval rating remains mired in the 30s — all ominous signs for a party trying to maintain control of Congress.
Only one party can screw up a lead like this. They happen to be the Democrats. Please don’t.

Seriously dude. I’m not overly superstitious, but your continual sniping at Democrats is just sending wave upon wave of negative karma/juju to our cause.
Can you at least ATTEMPT to control your obvious contempt for the Democratic party until after the election? If we lose, THEN you can open the full “Only Dems are this stuuuupid!” toolbox.
Yeah, somehow I don’t think OW.com is causing any waves against the Dems.
Oh, Eeyore, cheer up.
Oh, I didn’t mean you’re actually affecting Democrats proper. What I mean is that the constant “Dems are just dumb enough to screw everything up” meme has been beaten to death by you.
It’s starting to be a real turn-off for your site. I know you could care less if one visitor stopped coming here, but I enjoy everything about your site EXCEPT the monotonous drone of this argument.
We get it. You don’t think the Dems are tough, wily or nasty enough to “properly” combat the Rethugs. I mean we KNOW you think this. You really don’t have to keep on this track since it’s not really going to change anything.
I guess I just prefer to think more positively about things rather than continually pointing out the same negative point over and over again. I just don’t see what it accomplishes.
But I digress, I won’t bring this up again since my feelings on it are known.
Great site nevertheless. I’ve been reading it for quite a while.
I think the Iraq war is a problem. I don’t write just one post on it and leave it at that, do I?
I want the Dems to grow a spine or a pair. This would benefit us all. I’ve previously not brought these issues to light because I assumed they were being adressed. They aren’t. So I keep harping on them until they fix it.
And besides- Oliver is right. The Dems will do everything they can to screw it up. (There’s still time!)
But, Oliver, don’t you think that Mr. Clinton’s recent remarks as well as Sen. Kerry’s will send a message down the line that it’s ok for dems to take a stand after all? I do.
