Mike Tyson for Michael Steele

TysonsteeleMike Tyson, infamous for biting off a piece of Evander Holyfield’s ear and for being in prison for rape, has come out in support of Michael Steele while talking about fighting women.

At the press conference, Tyson posed for photos with fans, signed autographs and campaigned for Maryland U.S. Senate candidate Michael Steele.

Tyson, wearing a white and blue Steele for U.S. Senate T-shirt, said he used to believe black Republicans were “sellouts.” But Tyson said he changed his mind after researching the Maryland lieutenant governor.

“We have to open our eyes more,” Tyson said, as he pointed to his T-shirt.

Yes, Michael Steele – the candidate of rapist psycho boxers. (via reader Disgusted in St. Louis)

Has Michael Steele decided to start collecting EARS?

  2. babyhazel says:

    Isn’t Tyson Steele’s ex-brother in law? That’s how I remember it!

  3. Robster says:

Tyson. A man who will do anything for a Tshirt. Lo, how the mighty have fallen.

  4. midderpidge says:

Ian, why don’t you lend Steele your ear.

  5. As VA Gal noted over at Daily Kos:

Mike Tyson used to be married to Steele’s sister – how much researching did it take?

  6. It makes sense that Tyson would be a Republican. What was that crazy famous quote of his? “I’ll f— you till you love me!” That might as well have come from Bush’s State of the Union.

    babyhazel’s right!

Tyson didn’t just “research” Steele; he was married to Steele’s effing sister (apparently another opportunist without a conscience). I bet she ended up with more of his fight money than he does.

She’s also got the last laugh getting to watch him suck up to her brother for whatever lil bit of kibble he can get. I wonder how much Steele kicked to Tyson … I’m betting you could get his endorsement for about fifty bucks right now. Has Tyson done a porno yet?

  8. Duros62 says:

Ian, seriously, is Clinton and his family responsible for everything in your world?
Give it a rest already. And you guys accuse others of “Bush hate.” Sheesh.

  9. Quaker in a Basement says:

    Now, now.

I’m sure Mr. Tyson carefully examined his alternatives and thoughtfully considered the consequences of his decisions.

You know, just like he always does.

  10. midderpidge says:

Is that a sign of things to come, Mike Tyson, lobbyist.

  11. johnnyprogressive says:

“As soon as Oliver stops blaming Bush/Reps for everything, then I will stop with Clinton.

    Deal?”

So you only blame Clinton out of spite to OW, not because you actually beleive it? That’s sweet.

P.S. Take a step back and realize OW is blaming Bush/Repubs because they currently control all 3 branches of government. You’re blaming a president that hasnt been in office for the better half of a decade (and even then, Dems didnt control the House for the majority of his term).

  12. Duros62 says:

Clinton also didn’t fuck up half as badly as this government.
The reason Oliver et al blame Bush/Regressives is because they are to blame.
    Deal?
    Whatever.

  13. [...] Michael Steele and Newt Gingrich running for RNC chairman? On one hand, an odious public figure whose petulance led to the shutdown of the government, on the other hand a failed lieutenant governor and failed senatorial candidate (by double digits). SWEET. I wonder if rapist Mike Tyson will endorse Steele again? [...]
