Michael Steele: Coward
Tweet
Two years ago, Michael Steele voiced a full-throated endorsement for the re-election of George W. Bush, in fact he was a featured speaker at the 2004 Republican Convention. Now, his latest ad tries to make it seem as if he isn’t even a Republican. That is the very definition of cowardice, where you won’t even identify with your party when you were a featured speaker just two years ago.

Steele away, a right-wing Negro spiritual
Refrain
Steele away, Steele away, Steele away to Dubya.
Steele away, Steele away home,
I ain’t got long to fool ya.
My Lord, He calls me,
He calls me by the thunder of right-wing religiosity;
The trumpet sounds within my soul,I ain’t got long to fool ya.
Refrain
Greenbacks are a spendin’,
White democrats stand a-trembling; The trumpet sounds within my soul,I ain’t got long to fool ya.
Refrain
My Lord, He calls me,
He calls me by the lightning of right-wing religiosity;
The trumpet sounds within my soul,I ain’t got long to fool ya.
And Republicans are stereotyped as being racist.
And you wonder why Cardin has only one televised commercial of himself; because he is sooooooooooooo boring. Steele has charisma.
It’s less the GOP and more conservatives who’ve been racists in my experience, Ian, but I’ll take it.
Ugh, it’s pointless. I don’t get why Oliver keeps running these posts that Steele is trying to hide he is a Republican. And the funny part about it is every other Dem is trying to run with it. I mean, talking at the RNC, being Maryland’s Lt. Gov for four years is not a giveaway that he’s a Republican.
Idiots.
And yet Steele keeps running away from the fact that he’s a Republican. Rep. Cardin has more than one ad on air, and I’ll take boring and effective over charismatic and wrong.
“And yet Steele keeps running away from the fact that he’s a Republican.”
No he is not? Just because you don’t say you’re a Republican doesn’t mean you’re trying to hide it. I don’t see in any MOM smear ads that he says “I’m MOM, a Dem, and I approve this message.”
Well the race is over, but even after being spanked by the public, the former lt. gov steele doesn’t get it- It’s your politics stupid!
On cnn journal this past sunday, we saw him more cocky and dangerous then ever. Why people like him steele thinks that black people who can’t afford that private club memebership fee, should be taken for granted, is beyond any thought I have on the subject. Maybe he and Bill Cosby should get together see how much more stumping on African American integrity they can do together- that way their real color will show and finally maybe grandma will understand, why Cosby and Steele should be admonished and not prased.
