John Cole has a hilarious round-up of conservative spin on the Mark Foley case. The best is this distillation of the Republican message:

“Sure- we want to bugger your kids and won’t do anything about it as long as it doesn’t cause waves or threaten our one party rule. But Nancy Pelosi and company are worse, and if the terrorists kill your kids, who cares if GOP congressmen are diddling them? Send us some cash so we can keep your kids alive and fondled.”

Your modern Republican Party, folks.

    In the past hour both Tony Perkins (not the actor) and Pat Buchanan both correlated homosexuality to pedophilia. Oddly, Chris Matthews and Bob Shrum are fighting back.

    The real cons are coming out and America is seeing their radicalism.
