Stay And Die Unpopular President Smears Dems

The Republican party is a vile, excrement filled excuse of a party.
“The party of FDR and the party of Harry Truman has become the party of cut and run,” Bush said at a Birmingham, Alabama, fundraiser for Gov. Bob Riley.
Under George Bush, more Americans have died via terrorism than any other president in American history – and even more dead because of his lying us into a war in Iraq and failing to plan in any sane way for that war. He’s got some damn nerve.
UPDATE: Rep. Pelosi strongly slapped back at similar comments from earlier in the day by waste of flesh Dennis Hastert, but where is the Dem response to Bush???
FINALLY: And it’s written, versus on TV. Come on, Dems – this isn’t that hard. It’s not that complex!!!
Senate Democratic Leader Harry Reid issued the following statement on comments today by President Bush. A fact sheet on President Bush’s failed Iraq strategy is below.
“If George Bush is so confident that his national security policies are working, he should release the entire National Intelligence Estimate on terrorism and let the American people decide for themselves. The fact that he won’t speaks volumes about how the failure of his policies has made the American people less safe.
“George Bush has no credibility left on national security. No matter how many stump speeches he gives on the campaign trail, the American people can see the damage his tough talk has done to America’s safety. It’s time to be tough and smart so we can change course and give Americans the real security they deserve.”

Pretty vile considering that George Bush really did cut and run from Afghanistan.
More GOP projection.
Reid’s statement is pretty good, now he just has to go on the air and shout it from the rooftops.

Yeah, leaving the rest of us holding the bag:
A Canadian soldier in Afghanistan’s Kandahar province is nearly six times more likely to die in hostilities than a U.S. soldier serving in Iraq, according to a new report to be released today.
The study of fatalities in Afghanistan details the sacrifice made by Canadian soldiers, confirming what military leaders have already hinted at: The Canadian Forces is shouldering a substantial amount of the combat burden in the southern Asia country.

Sorry about that, Doug.
