The Cowboys knew what they were getting when they picked up Terrell Owens… now they’ve got even more.
Dallas Cowboys receiver Terrell Owens tried to kill himself by overdosing on pain medication, even putting two more pills into his mouth after a friend intervened, according to a police report obtained Wednesday.
Have a little class Oliver.
There’s been nothing classy about the situation down here in Dallas since T.O. got here.
I was pretty glad when he left the Eagles, and even more elated now. The guy wants to live in a soap opera.

he really puts puts the pee back into ‘professional athlete ‘. We can only hope he gets some help, and is largely ignored until that time.
I am SO glad the Seahawks don’t have TO…That being said, I hope TO figures it out soon and maybe comes back in a while for a little less cash.
He’s coming back – Sunday against the Titans.
T.O. claims it was all a big misunderstanding, his publicist was mistaken and the police report was wrong. When he said “yes” to the EMTs when they asked him if he was trying to hurt himself, he was so out of it that he doesn’t even remember the incident.
It’s entirely possible that he’s telling the truth, that it was just a very bad reaction to the pain meds he was taking (Parcells had commented before on his not feeling well after taking them). But since he’s T.O., nobody will believe him. And everyone is all concerned about how this will affect the Cowboys, how much of a distraction it will be, yadda yadda yadda.
This team has had, in succession, Michael Irvin, Prime Time(tm) double-duty Deion, Keyshawn Johnson, what’s-his-name the DB who ran over somebody on the side of the interstate and drove off, and now T.O. I think they should be pretty much used to primma donnas and distractions by now. The millionaires will either do the jobs they’ve been paid to do, or they won’t, and that’s what will determine how the team does.
I live in the metroplex, FYI.
liberalrob,
none of those guys could hold a candle to Hollywood Henderson.
No one will ever mistake me for a defender of Terrell Owens.
But it is not uncommon for people taking heavy duty pain killers to become confused by the effects of the medication and take too much.
The sports media should have talked to some doctors or ER staff about this before they ran with it.
Instead, they ran with Owens drug addled statement to the police.
