Sen. Boxer Joins the FOXLash

Following in President Clinton’s footsteps, Sen. Barbara Boxer demonstrates that it just isn’t okay anymore to wimp out to the right wing media’s distortions. Fox is used to negating Democrats’ comments by inserting the “last word” from the right without giving Dems a chance to respond. To her credit, Sen. Boxer doesn’t take this lying down. May the FOXLash continue – and spread to the rest of the lapdog press.

I saw a bit on the Daily Shwo a few weeks ago where some Fox doofus (don’t remember which one he was a youngish guy that wa sbuilt liek a linebacker) was “interviewing” Durbin. I put that is quotes cuz basically he was giving an editorial calling Democrats traitors who undermine Bush at every step and then asking Durbin to respond, Durbin said “well I thought this was an interview of me, are you finished with your commentary?”

After Durbin left the kid was making all these ticked off gestures, like Durbin had some nerve to question him the brilliant Fox newsman.

I mean sheesh he’s only been a Senator since you were in grade school…

Outstanding! And you can see the incredulity on the face of the spokesbimbo… “Excuse me, you’re talkin’ back to me, girlfriend? Nuh uh!”

The Dems as a whole need a lesson in spokesbimbo-slap 101, but it looks like we’re making progress!

The look on the FOX anchor’s face is amazing. She truly did not expect the Senator to reply after she closed with a favorable remark about the President. It does say a lot about what the typical FOX talking head expects from an interviewee.

  4. I could have told the Fox ‘news’ anchor that you never get the last word in against a Jewish grandmother…

Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. Too bad it probably won’t last.
