“The Anchoress” opines that the reason Hugo Chavez said mean things about George Bush is because… wait for it… because the Democrats and Air America have been so mean.

That’s right, slappy, this person is claiming that until Democrats were in the majority and Air America was launched, nobody outside of America ever thought of saying mean things about the President. Clearly, the American left is working hand-in-hand with dictators in order to make derisive remarks about the President.

This of course requires that the person making these moronic leaps in logic to be dumb, stupid, brain dead or all of the above (I’m betting on the latter). Compared to the vitriol that is to this day heaped on people like Bill & Hillary Clinton, Al Gore, Howard Dean, John Kerry, etc. the Democratic characterizations of Bush are down right genteel. The Democratic leadership rarely even calls out Bush and his cronies for the liars they are.

These are the people who called Bill Clinton a rapist, Al Gore a deranged lunatic, and John Kerry a communist traitor.

But no, in the reality the cons make for themselves, these words were never spoken. Dear Leader and his Cult Members were and are tireless chaplains of The Gospel, always turning the cheek in the face of far-left insults.

Sweet Mary these people are dumb.

    You have to admit, the ravings of Chavez, Ahmedinejad, and Kim often sound uncannily like the daily postings and comments on the netroots sites.

    There is no comparison. Despite his racism, his antisemitism, his megalomania and his sociopathy, Hitler was an excellent public speaker with a great grasp of his native language who could speak at any length without notes, and had actually served in combat without deserting.

    But go ahead, and beat the straw out of your fictional liberal creation, and when you want to discuss what real people do, with real examples and quotations, get back to us.

    It was mildly amusing to watch Rangel and Pelosi come running out to try and defend the President, given the fact that these two have done so much to stoke domestic hatred of the man. It was so transparent, it was all rather sad.

    What was so funny was the reaction of the folks at Kos and DemocraticUnderground. They gave the game away. They were all out for the Duce of Caracas. They praised him to the skies. I haven’t seen Lefties this excited since Pol Pot siezed Pnomh Penh.

    Liberals love a fascist in uniform as long as he says he’s stealing money for “the people” and railing against Yanqui “imperialismo”. They were full of vitriol and Bush hatred, and were ready to crucify Pelosi and Rangel for speaking out against El Jefe.

    Since he moveon.org “Hitler incident” was a smear job from the right, we can ignore it, and a website I have never heard of (democrtas.com) cannot possibly represent too many people.

    At least Hugo was funny while he was being bombastic. That line about still smelling the sulfur, come on, that was witty. George’s speech didn’t even have any good laugh lines.
