Pakistan has once again sold us out to Al Qaeda and the Taliban. The Bush administration refuses to call them on it and demand that we go into Pakistan and end Al Qaeda. Why are they appeasing terrorists and the states that harbor them?
President Pervez Musharraf of Pakistan attempted to convince President Bush today that a deal he approved with tribal leaders in one of the country’s most lawless border areas would result in driving Al Qaeda and Taliban forces out of the area, rather than give them more freedom to operate.
Mr. Bush and his national security aides were clearly skeptical, according to administration officials, but at a press conference, Mr. Bush appeared to take Mr. Musharraf’s assurances at face value. Mr. Musharraf knew that there were enough questions in the air about what amounted to a face-saving retreat for the Pakistani Army that he felt compelled to explain, “This deal is not at all with the Taliban. As I said, this is against the Taliban, actually.’’
And the Democrats? They’re talking tactics about “fear and smear”. Come. On.
Into the Big Muddy, Me Hardies!!
Invade Pakistan, sustain caualties that make Iraq look like a picnic and hope that we MIGHT find OBL there – amidst the 600M Muslims.
Yes Mr and Mrs America, why not let progressives run your foreign policy, today!
Yes, heaven forbid we go into a country where terrorists actually are instead of staying in one where they aren’t and getting killed in civil war crossfire. That awesome right-wing foreign policy strikes again.

“Invade Pakistan, sustain caualties that make Iraq look like a picnic and hope that we MIGHT find OBL there – amidst the 600M Muslims.
Yes Mr and Mrs America, why not let progressives run your foreign policy, today!”
What Dugger meant to type:
“Yes Mr and Mrs America, we know your son/daughter died because we thought we MIGHT find OBL in Iraq … but, uh, well, we’re still lookin’. Although, well, we don’t actually think much about ‘im anymore but, uh, yer son/daughter didn’t die in vain, nooosiree!!”
And once again Dugger the Appeaser rears his ridiculous head!
Well, then Billy Boy, write your senator and congressman today and demand they run on an “Invade Pakistan” platform. I want to see it. I beg you to do it. Progressives put up or shut up. Is ALL OF this just hot air. Is this just shallow, empty rhEtoric. Come on, big guys. Demand it!! You want to invade Pakistan. Demand it from your congress people. This is the ground you have staked out. Any of you with the courage of your convictions?
Poor Dugger, it’s the Bush doctrine. Bush staked that ground out with oh so many empty promises.

‘Wanted Dead or Alive’ playing in the background:
“Well, then Billy Boy, write your senator and congressman today and demand they run on an “Invade Pakistan” platform. I want to see it. Is ALL OF this just hot air. Is this just shallow, empty rhEtoric. Come on, big guys. Demand it!!”
Dugger’s losing his grip without drpedro and Frank_D to sing back up … he doesn’t usually fuck with poster’s names during his spews.
Once more, with gusto!
A-P-P-E-A-S-E-R
Dugger, Mr. & Mrs. America have made it clear through the polls that they will be leaning more toward progressives come this November. Unlike you, the average Mr. & Mrs. aren’t thrilled with what’s been happening the past 5 years. If we don’t progress out of Republican created domestic and foreign fiascos, the current failures will only get worse.
So does anyone here support invading Pakistan. Hangin’ good ol’ OW out to dry???
Man, thats loyalty for you.
H*ll, I support you OW. Lets also invade Russia to find Judge Crater and Bulgaria to find Amelia Earhart (Dale’s first wife — no that was Earnhardt —never mind that)
“Is ALL OF this just hot air. Is this just shallow, empty rhEtoric.”
You are to omuch dugger. The much vaunted Bush Doctrine has been totally exposed as the empty rhetoric it always and you blame Democrats for blowing hot air? Bush made it the policy of his administration to wage war against any country that harbors terrorists. You remember, “you’re either with us or against us.”
So far the only countries have satisfied Bush’s definition of harboring: Afghanistan and Iraq. That’s it.
Afghanistan made sense and was supported by the vast majority of Americans. Sadly, it was a justified action that we are now presently
losing
Iraq speaks for itself as a total disaster and we have learned since the invasion that Hussein was not, in fact, harboring terrorists.
So now that there is a good deal of reason to believe that Pakistan has created what amounts to a safe haven for Taliban and other terrorist forces within its own borders, suddenly Bush has declared those borders sacrosanct. Suddenly, we can’t just invade whoever the hell we want, when we want to protect American lives.
It would be an idiotic thing to invade Pakistan. It would be worse than Iraq. Put those two facts together and Bush’s whole “doctrine” from the beginning was nothing more than cowboy bullshit aimed at stoking the blood lust of pea brain limp dicks such as yourself just enough to keep your dander up through the next election cycle. That’s it. You were a fool for listening then and an idiot now for continuing to defend it.
frameone, is Dugger naive or stupid … or both?
“It would be an idiotic thing to invade Pakistan”
Well, I wonder why I’m the only one to criticize the concept at the start. OW’s a big guy. He can handle disagreement – even from his own side.
“I wonder why I’m the only one to criticize the concept at the start.”
Oh please. You created a strawman and went at it. You’re an idiot.
