Last One Out, Turn Off The Lights, Knock Yourself Upside The Head

Dale Franks, in the course of noting yet another conservative defection from the Iraqi War (this time the odious Rich Lowry), makes the by now tired and worn argument that solving this problem involves killing more Iraqis and sending more Americans in to Iraq to die.

Lemme just say, everyone who has supported this war is stupid. Either stupid by design (Bush), stupid out of fear (the Democrats who voted for it), stupid out of bloodlust (most conservatives) and stupid out of self delusion (the pro-war “liberals” like Jeff Jarvis and Thomas Friedman – more here on Jeff’s dumb “we screwed you over, how are you going to fix it?” argument that he’s peddling nowadays).

But the truly stupid continue to support this war, and think the best way to do it is killing more Iraqi people. Apparently this is the world Dale Franks lives in.

As Archie Bunker would say, “Silence is golden, so stifle thy self.”
