BS No Longer Effective

It’s really not that the Democrats have become much more forceful or knowledgeable of how to finally fight back politically, its just that the GOP spin machine is running out gas.

“I’ve been traveling around Michigan for many, many days now, have probably stopped in, oh 20 different places, visiting state fairs… senior citizens… a variety of people,’’ Levin said in a conference call with reporters. “Basically, the public in eastern Michigan is tired of being told things are moving in the right direction in Iraq….

“There is a very, very deep concern in Michigan about the way things are moving in Iraq. They are tired – many of them – of the president’s constant rhetoric…’’ Levin said. “They don’t want to hear much more about staying the course.”

I’m afraid the wrong message may go out to Democrats, especially the more GOP-appeasement friendly who populate the Washington contingent, and we see the much hated “prevent” defense being dragged out. We can’t just sit on the ball.

The public on the East side of Michigan is heavily Democratic. They’ve probably been sick of hearing that since March of 2003. However, it doesn’t say much about the public of the entire country currently. If Levin would travel to the West side of the state, he’d probably be hearing something very different (of course, he’d be saying the same thing.)

In a sense, that story told us “Democrats don’t like Bush.” Thank you for that fresh analysis of the obvious!

Hey Freaks, not all of Eastern Michigan is Democrat (check out the voting record of the thumb & northeastern sections). Besides, there’s nothing in the article that says, like Bush, Levin surrounded himself with members of his own choir. Keep dreaming that the country as a whole isn’t tired of Bush’s BS. You’d have to ignore every single poll in the process, though.

Instead of stressing ‘no war’, why not stress ‘half-assed war’, incompetently run and negligently managed. Bush doesn’t want to fight a full war with adequate numbers of troops and sufficient logistics for them.

Either fight a full war with full effort or get the hell out instead of wasting the lives of our troops for glorious leader’s ego and his bs public utterances.

After all, Bush has been giving back some Iraqi cities to the terrorists after our troops have died taking them (some cities more than once).

What great military strategy is that to let the terrorists regroup to kill more of our troops?

The most complimentary thing you can say about the republican brain-trust is that they hold on even when hope escapes the grasp of their bony fingers.

They are like the knight in Monty Python’s ‘Holy Grail” who continues to challenge his superior opponents as they remove his limbs, one-by-one until his torso is all that’s left. Have to admire their spunk, even though they’re punks.
