The Anti-War Fringe
Tweet
It’s a big-ass “fringe”.
Sixty percent of Americans oppose the U.S. war in Iraq, the highest number since polling on the subject began with the commencement of the war in March 2003, according to poll results and trends released Wednesday.
And a majority of poll respondents said they would support the withdrawal of at least some U.S. troops by the end of the year, according to results from the Opinion Research Corporation poll conducted last week on behalf of CNN. The corporation polled 1,047 adult Americans by telephone.
Of course, the lapdog msm lackeys at Time magazine have decided to completely buy into Republican spin and write the idiotic “anti-war Democrats are good for Republicans” story.

“that will force McCaskill to talk about messy party business instead of her favored issues of government accountablity and affordable health care.”
Isn’t that the Republican’s in a nutshell? The Democrats offer debate on real issues affecting real Americans, the Republicans offer only distractions.
You don’t get it. There is a difference between being “opposed to the war” and running around accusing the President and VP of starting the war to enrich their oil buddies, to avenge Daddy, to “send soldiers to the their deaths”, to distract from going after Osama bin Laden, and for bowing down to the neo-con power structure that wants to take over the world.
Once you’re able to distnguish between the two, you’ll understand why you guys keep losing.
If any Democrats had ever said any of that stuff and lost, you’d have a point. But to this point Dems have done bad impressions of Republicans and been rejected for it. Perhaps its time to try the real thing for a change.
Go ahead. I’d love to see the Democratic nominee for President stand up and say those things.
The theater would be great and Republicans would be laughing all the way to the polls.
Shorter Crazyjay: The path to Democratic electoral success is…. act like Republicans.
Of course, Holy Joe did that and, well, you know what happened to him.
Okay, Jay, why exactly did we go to war with Iraq? All those reasons you listed as “losers” don’t sound any more crazy than the one we were given regarding WMD’s. Now that hindsight has cleared some of the air, we’re really not sure of the reason are we. We can only speculate what the hell was in Bush’s brain when he placed our troops in harm’s way.
You also might want to be careful with your cockiness concerning Democrat’s inability to win elections. The momentum is currently with them.
You know the expression “feel the love?” Well, why don’t you “feel the dissatisfaction” that American voters are feeling and remember which party has been setting the agenda for the past 5+ years. You very well may be eating crow in three months.
jay, I see little evidence to acquit the cheney Adminstaion of any of the ‘unhinged’ accusations you listed. Add incompetence and the lack of understanding of the world as major factors leading to the current quagmire.
